Scottish Government appointments announced

First Minister John Swinney has unveiled the newly appointed Scottish Government Cabinet and Ministers. The Scottish Government now consists of eight Cabinet Secretaries, including the Deputy First Minister, and eleven Ministers.

Among the key appointments to consider for Scottish sport are Angela Constance taking on the role of Cabinet Secretary for Health and Care, with Maree Todd taking on a brief as Minister for Mental Wellbeing, Public Health, Sport, Alcohol & Drugs. 

Jenny Gilruth has been appointed Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Local Government, and Ivan McKee will serve as Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Reform.
