Scottish Disability Sport - Boccia Development Officer
Scottish Disability Sport (SDS) is the Scottish governing and co-coordinating body of all sports for people of all ages and abilities with a physical, sensory or learning disability. SDS has the vision of leading inclusive sport in Scotland for participants and athletes with physical, sensory or learning disabilities.
SDS is seeking to appointment a Boccia Development Officer to lead the development of boccia at grassroots level. The post holder will lead the development of boccia at grassroots level with a specific focus on club development, women and girls’ participation and will encourage potential participants to engage with the sport and progress along its pathway.

The successful candidate will work with key partners locally and nationally to develop the sport at an engagement and participation level. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the existing SDS staff and volunteer structure to engage the boccia players of the future.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate proven experience of leading, developing, implementing and evaluating sports development initiatives. This post is initially offered on a two-year fixed term basis with a balance of home working/office base in Edinburgh and the need to travel throughout Scotland.
