This consultation proposes to attribute legal personality to associations where they meet certain statutory criteria.
It is anticipated that there are significant benefits for unincorporated associations in attaining legal personality set against minimal costs. However, the consultation seeks to add evidence on the extent and quantification of costs and benefits; a full impact assessment would be developed if the Bill is approved.
