Lacrosse Scotland Events Committee
Reporting To: Lacrosse Scotland Events and Communications Director
Start Date: June 2018 (flexible)

Purpose of Role:
Lacrosse Scotland are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and positive volunteers to join their Events Committee. In taking on this role you would be actively involved in the organisation, planning and delivery of events within Lacrosse Scotland. This is a great way to get involved with a minority sport to help us grow, as well a great thing to put on a CV. Through working on the Events Committee you will gain invaluable experience that you can reapply in the future.

Strengths Needed:
Applicants must exhibit;
• passion about the growth and development of sport
• good communication and interpersonal skills
• the ability to work well as part of a team
• the ability to adapt quickly to changes
• good organisational and planning skills

Desirable but non-essential skills for applicants are;
• an understanding of lacrosse
• experience with sports events
• lacrosse umpiring or refereeing qulaifications.

Responsibilities:
Members of the Events Committee will be required to attend meetings roughly once every 1-2 months to plan and organise events. There will also be an expectation, where necessary, to attend certain events which have been planned, which will require members of the committee to give up the odd weekend day.

*Please note- you may live anywhere in Scotland to fill this position, reasonable travel expenses will be covered. This is an unsalaried position.
