Lacrosse Scotland - U19's Womens Manager

Lacrosse Scotland is looking for an enthusiastic and well organised individual to take on the position of Manager for the U19 Women's Teams & Wider Squad.

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Reporting To: Lacrosse Scotland, Women’s Director, U18/U19 Coaches

Start Date: May 2018 (flexible)

This is an exciting opportunity to assist in growing the game at junior level as well as play an integral part in preparing the team for the U19 World Cup in Canada in 2019.

Strengths Needed:

Applicants must exhibit;

  • A passion for sport and team management - a knowledge of lacrosse is NOT mandatory.
  • Excellent organisational skills
    • Eligibility documentation/paperwork
    • Registration/availability/payments at training weekends
    • Hotel/Transport bookings
    • Oversight of junior lacrosse budget and payment
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
    • Oversight of manager email account
    • Weekly correspondence with players and parents as necessary
    • Liaison at tournaments/tours with parents
  • Competent computer & email skills
    • Understanding of excel a must!
  • Full, clean driving licence also beneficial

Responsibilities:

10-15 hours/month administrative work including;

  • Liaison between parents and coaches and between Scottish Schools
  • Information about upcoming training weekends, fees, eligibility and medical information etc.
  • Expense and budget reporting
  • Help in organisation of trips including accommodation/transport when needed.
  • Organisation and oversight of facilities at training sessions
  • Assistance in equipment storage and bib allocation/collection
