Scottish Gymanstics are looking for an Events Administrator to join the organisation.

Salary: £17,000 - £19,000
Status of Role: Full time, permanent
Place of work: Scottish Gymnastics HQ, Caledonia House, South Gyle, Edinburgh
Days of work: Monday-Friday, plus weekend event work (various locations)
Scottish Gymnastics (SG) is on a journey to becoming a world class governing body for our members and partners and we are looking for like-minded people who will help us on the way.  Through our 12-year strategy we have identified a need to focus on areas that will make a real difference.  This post will help us to deliver our ambitions, those of our members, member clubs and the gymnastics workforce.
We are looking for a candidate who is keen to support the administration and coordination within our events department, with a focus on our domestic competition programme.  This will include planning and coordinating gymnastics competition events, booking venues, accommodation and catering, compiling event programmes for all event officials and volunteers, assisting with online entry administration and entry tracking, and budget management. Although primarily an office based role, the successful candidate will be required to work at events during weekends.
The successful candidate will need to be hard working, motivated to be part of a fast paced area of the business, and come with experience of providing administrative support in a previous role. The role requires candidates to be organised with a high attention to detail, customer-driven with an excellent telephone manner and be able to manage their workload. Candidates will require strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and the ability to work on their own initiative. Candidates will need sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and the internet. A prior knowledge of gymnastics would be advantageous.
