Scottish Gymnastics - Education Programme Manager

Scottish Gymnastics is looking for an Education Programme Manager ensure there is a detailed programme of a progressive education qualifications and relevant support programme across all disciplines for Scotland’s gymnastics workforce.

Salary: Circa. £24,000 - £26,000 (dependent on experience) 
Status of Role: Full time (37.5hrs / week) 
Place of work: Caledonia House, South Gyle, Edinburgh 

Scottish Gymnastics has embarked on an exciting journey with a 12-year strategy which will see the growth of ‘a strong Scottish Gymnastics, inspiring and nurturing emerging talent’. 

Using your communication and organisational skills, you will be responsible for the management of all matters relating to formal coach and judge education. You will work closely with the Head of Performance & Education, Performance Coach Development Manager and British Gymnastics to ensure there is a detailed programme of a progressive education qualifications and relevant support programme across all disciplines for Scotland’s gymnastics workforce. 

In addition you will have responsibility for the recruitment, development and deployment of Scottish Gymnastics’ tutor workforce; ensuring world class delivery across all workshops and courses.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing projects and delivering multiple projects at the same time along with budget management experience. The role requires candidates to be able to influence and be able to develop strong, effective working relationships with key partners and stakeholders. Having an understanding of coach development, coaching behaviours, progressive coach education pathways, awarding bodies and experience of gymnastics is desirable.

Candidates will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work on their own initiative, is pro-active and able to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines. Candidates will need knowledge of Microsoft Office products and a knowledge of the sports industry.
